I was diagnosed Feb. 2009. I live in port jervis, New York. At age 45 I had my 2nd mamogram. They thought they saw something, so they sent me for a biopsy. It came back positive for "Breast Cancer."And the doctor highly recommended surgery to remove it.Before,I had my "Lumpectomy" in April, I went to "Sloan Kettering Cancer Center" in Manhattan, NY.  Their doctors looked at all my test results and agreed with my surgeon, that I had Stage 0 Breast Cancer. I needed a Lumpectomy. So, in April, I had a  "Lumpectomy." I was only in the hospital over night. When I went back to my surgeon, he told me that due to the pathology report from the "Lumpectomy," he recommened that I go in and have some "Lympe Nodes" removed and biopsied. So, in May 09, I went in for the"Node Removal" surgery. After getting those results, the surgeon recommended that I get "Hormone Therapy and Radiation." He also recommended an "Oncologist." My Oncologist agreed with my surgeons recommendations for treatment and recommended a "Radiation Oncologist." I had 3 appointments with my radiation oncologist before the radiation was suppose to start. My fist appointment was to talk to the doctor. The second appointment was to take a CT SCAN and make temporary tatoos. My third appointment: I was in the middle of getting X-Rays taken, when "Sloan Kettering Cancer Center" from Manhattan, NY called my doctor. They had told my doctor that they looked over my test results and said that I actually had Stage 1 Breast Cancer and needed "Chemotherapy and Radiation. No Hormone therapy.
